Metro disaster-recovery data center for a financial institution

Located inside an occupied office building, the retrofit had to proceed without disturbing the floors above. We used modular racks with hot/cold aisle containment, 2N redundant UPS, diesel generators, precision cooling and gas suppression, plus environment monitoring linked to access control and video. Before handover we completed full-load thermal testing, UPS failover drills and fire-system integration tests. Measured PUE is 1.35, meeting all Class A requirements.
